Claire has a B.A. in Psychology and a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a concentration in Christian Counseling from Franciscan University of Steubenville. She’s a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and enjoys supporting those with clinical mental health struggles in a therapeutic capacity in a private practice separate from her coaching business. Claire is a Certified Mastery Method Coach with the Institute for Coaching Mastery (ICF accredited), offering a cutting-edge new form of coaching in the industry. Claire is trained in the Prophetic Heart Healing model, a transformational prayer method, and has been a speaker and prayer minister at various retreats and other settings over the years.

Usually people invest in a life coach for support with accountability, strategy and moving through personal blocks (e.g. imposter syndrome, fear of being seen, fear of failure, etc.) as they step into a goal in their life. Goals people may bring to coaching include, but are not limited to:
- Take life from "good to great”
- Infusing more abundance, peace, joy and purpose into their daily life
- Deeply connecting with themsleves, their faith + others
- Increasing the ability to hear + trust their intuition as they step into their goal
- Gaining clarity on what direction to take in their life to create more fulfillment
- Starting your business
- Increasing confidence in the workplace
Mental health therapists assess, diagnose, and treat mental health disorders. Therapists work on identifying and reducing symptoms (e.g. clinical anxiety or clinical depression).
Coaches help to motivate and encourage clients to achieve specific goals. Coaches do not work to identify or reduce mental health symptoms; coaches tend to describe their work as more positive in nature.
Of course, there can be some overlap— a therapist can help a client identify strengths and cultivate resources, and a coach may support with reducing or resolving problems preventing a client from achieving their goals.
Although Claire is a licensed therapist, she does NOT provide mental health counseling (assessment, diagnosis or treatment of mental health disorders) in her coaching packages. Claire is happy to provide mental health resources and referrals for those who would be better supported by mental health therapy.
Unlike most coaches, Claire has a background in psychology + counseling making her even more equipped to see the deeper workings of how the psyche works, why patterns persist, and how to get to the root of change.
Although Claire does not offer mental health therapy in her coaching work, her knowledge + experience in working in the mental health field will amplify her ability to support you in achieving the results you want through coaching in an even deeper, more transformative way than the typical coaching experience.
